A U.S. Forest Service spokesperson says the Pozo Fire is 78% contained as of Monday morning. Acreage stands at 1,263.
The fire sparked Saturday around 12:30 p.m. Fire fighters from CAL FIRE, U.S. Forest Service, Atascadero and San Luis Obispo responded to help battle the flames. Currently, more than 1,000 fire personnel are working the fire.
There are no structures threatened, but evacuation orders remain in effect for nearby campgrounds.
Fire investigators have not figured out what started the fire.
