Officials are investigating what caused a fire at an Atascadero home that took roughly 30 firefighters and five engines to put out.
The fire started around 8:30 p.m. Monday night in the 2400 block of Traffic Way.
Atascadero Fire Captain Tom Peterson tells KSBY no one was inside the home when the fire broke out. The homeowner arrived shortly after, and called 911.
Officials say it was a fast fire and crews were aggressive in knocking it down before it could spread.
No one was injured, but we're told a young couple with two children were living there. Captain Peterson says about 75% of the home is destroyed.
While the cause is still under investigation, they believe the fire started in the kitchen.
