Santa Barbara City Fire officials are investigating the cause of a boat fire near the Sea Landing in the Santa Barbara Harbor.
It happened around 4:10 p.m. Saturday. Officials say they received calls that a boat was on fire and smoke was visible from a long distance away.
Harbor Patrol officers were the first to arrive on scene. They say there was a fire on the Condor Express, a 75-foot boat. Harbor Patrol officers began fighting the fire from their boat. An off-duty San Francisco fire fighter also helped, using a hose from the dock.
Santa Barbara City Fire arrived on scene and helped contain the fire. Officials say it was out by 4:21 p.m.
The fire was contained to the top floor cabin and navigation area.
Santa Barbara City Fire and Coast Guard fire investigators are still determining the cause and origin of the fire.
