Fire season kicks off Monday, marking the end of open burn season.
Beginning Monday, 50 seasonal firefighters will join CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire.
Officials are asking everyone to be careful, especially this year due to the low rain amounts.
You should avoid mowing dry vegetation when it is warm, dry or windy outside.
Air Pollution Control District dooryard burn permits are now suspended, and CAL FIRE burn permits are required for all types of burning.
