Fire weather likely to become more challenging this afternoon

You can tell a little bit about the 154 fire based on the smoke you see rising in the video, it is pretty much drifting straight up. So, as of yet, the wind situation is low however the forecast for later today is not as bright.

Local northeast winds will increase to 10 to 20 mph and heat index values around 100 in the afternoon. Relative humidities drop during the afternoon, and as fires grow larger the heat they create actually start fire specific wind patters which can complicate suppression efforts.
