Firefighter injures finger in Santa Maria trailer fire

A Santa Maria man will stay somewhere else Tuesday night after a small fire tore through his fifth wheel trailer.
It broke out around 10:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Broadway. A witness told firefighters he tried to put out the smoke with a hose, but firefighters arrived shortly after and extinguished the fire.
One firefighter injured his finger during the incident. Firefighters said the man living in the home has family in the area and can stay there in the mean time.
