Firefighters fill the boot for Muscular Dystrophy

If you drove through downtown San Luis Obispo Saturday, you may have noticed some firefighters asking drivers to fill their boots.

The San Luis Obispo City Fire Department and San Luis Obispo City Firefighters Association hosted their Fill the Boot fundraiser.

Firefighters were out at the corner of Higuera and Morro and Higuera and Chorro asking for donations. Money raised benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

"Helping out local families, all the money that we raise stays here locally, helps out families with medical expenses, even summer camps for Muscular Dystrophy," said Nathan Williams, a San Luis Obispo City Firefighter.
