Firefighters investigating one acre brush fire in Paso Robles

Fire investigators with the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services are investigating the cause of a brush fire that broke out Sunday afternoon.

It happened just after 4 p.m. in the Salinas Riverbed on Niblick Road in Paso Robles.

Firefighters received reports that there was smoke in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they found an acre of brush on fire in the riverbed. Firefighters quickly surrounded the fire and brought it under control within about 40 minutes.

No buildings or homes were damaged, and no one was injured.
