A dog in Santa Barbara has all four paws on the ground again, after being rescued by firefighters Monday afternoon.

Santa Barbara County firefighters were called to the north end of Cieneguitas Road around 3:00 pm. They say a man had been walking three dogs in the area when one of them fell tail first into a 10-foot deep, 12-inch wide drain pipe.

It took crews about 45 minutes to pull the 13-year old Brittany Spaniel, Biscuit, to safety. Firefighters used long poles to get a strap around Biscuit and lift her up. They also used an oxygen bottle to supply oxygen to the dog during the rescue. The dog was not hurt.
