Firefighters in Santa Barbara had to rescue a man who fell into a creek Saturday morning.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. at Mission Creek near Yanonali Street. Firefighters say the man suffered major leg injuries from the 15-foot fall.

Rescuers used a 35-foot ladder, a rope and a basket to get him out of the creek. It took them about 25 minutes to finish the rescue. The man was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
