A road is shut down after a truck gets pinned underneath a semi-truck in Santa Maria Thursday.

It happened just before 10 a.m. at South Blosser Road and Knudsen way.

Firefighters are trying to extricate the driver from the truck. Rescue crews are using a lift to pull the truck out from under the big rig. KSBY has a crew on scene. They say a firefighter is holding an IV Drip onto the person inside the truck.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
