Fires shut down northbound I-15 on Cajon Pass

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have shut all northbound lanes of Interstate 15 on the Cajon Pass as firefighters battle two brush fires that ignited along the freeway.

The U.S. Forest Service says the fires were reported around 5:30 p.m. Saturday and grew to about 7 acres.

The closure has caused traffic to back on the major interstate linking Southern California and Las Vegas.
