Guadalupe city leaders are scouting potential sites for the city's first skate park. Possible locations include O'Connell Park, Central Park, Leroy Park, McKenzie Junior High School, Buren School, and the proposed DJ Farms housing project at the southeastern corner of Highway 166 and Highway The city doesn't currently have the money for the project but says it could come from a state grant. The closest skate parks are in Santa Maria at Fletcher Park and the Santa Maria Valley YMCA.

The city's Recreation Commission will meet tonight at 6 p.m. to hear an update on the proposed skate park and get a feel for what the community wants.
