Fit students do better in class

Should students skip study hall and head to the gym instead?

A new study from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, finds middle school students who are more physically fit earn better grades and do better on standardized tests.

This was true for both boys and girls.

While this does not prove cause and effect, experts say exercise can help improve overall physical, mental and emotional health.
