The Santa Barbara Zoo has announced the birth of five Asian Small-Clawed otter pups.

The pups were born about two weeks ago. They are the first of the species to be born there, and are known as the smallest otters in the world.

Zoo officials say all of the newborns are healthy. They're expected to take their first swim in mid-October.
