LOS ANGELES (AP)
The latest rainstorm moving through Southern California hasn't caused problems for communities near wildfire burn areas but forecasters have posted a flash flood watch for parts of Santa Barbara County due to moderate-to-heavy showers and thunderstorms heading ashore.
The National Weather Service says there could be rainfall at rates up to three-quarters of an inch per hour through early Friday afternoon. Forecasters says that could bring a threat of flash floods and debris flows in and below Santa Barbara County's burn areas.
In Los Angeles County, rainfall has been moderate in areas near the 250-square-mile swath of forest denuded by the late summer Station Fire.
Another storm is due in Southern California Friday night and is expected to have greater rainfall.
