Kaitlyn Flowers and Tatiana Dunlap combined to score 47 points to lead the St. Joseph High girls basketball team to a 66-40 win at Mission Prep on Tuesday night.

The Knights improved to 5-3 on the season after a third place finish at the Rio Mesa Tournament. The Knights are ranked 4th in the Division 4A preseason coaches poll that came out on Tuesday.

Playing with an extremely young squad, Mission dropped to 1-9 on the season.

The Knights stormed out to a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and led 30-17 at the half. Dunlap scored 14 points in the first half on her way to 22 points. Flowers scored 15 of her team-high 25 points in the second half.

Mission freshman Noelle Laird led the Royals with 16 points, including 12 in the first half.
