Flu widespread in more states

The flu is spreading quickly and chances are you know of someone who's come down with it so far this season.

Health officials in Kentucky and Pennsylvania now say the flu is widespread in their states.

That's in addition to states already hit hard, including Alaska, Mississippi, Alabama, the Carolinas, Ohio, New York, and Rhode Island.

Doctors say it appears the flu vaccine seems to be a good match for the flu virus strains circulating. There is still time to get protected.

It takes two weeks after a flu shot to get full immunity.
