The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County wrapped up its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive on Monday.

They've been collecting frozen turkeys since the beginning of November and say they collected more than 2,700 frozen birds.

"The need has been so high this year, there hasn't been the money from our general budget to put to that, so the the numbers are still a little lower than last year, but a greater outpouring from the community," said Judith Monte of the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.

Donations this year included a $5,000 check from PG&E.

The Foodbank still welcomes donations of fresh turkeys or chickens.

You can drop off your donation until noon on Tuesday at their warehouse in Santa Maria at 490 West Foster Road.
