Foodbank warns community about phone scam

The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County is warning people about scams during the holiday season.

The Foodbank says it has been notified that automated calls are going out at odd hours of the day asking for donations.

The Foodbank says it does not make calls asking for donations, and if anyone receives a call from the Foodbank, they should not make any donations over the phone.

If you would like to make a donation, click here or stop by the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County in Santa Maria at 490 West Foster Road, or in Santa Barbara at 4554 Hollister Avenue.
