Former 21st Century Financial's Linda Kennedy was sentenced to 5 years

Former lending company executive sentenced

A former lending company executive who caused a loss of more than $1.3 million to numerous victims was sentenced to 5 years in jail on Tuesday in a San Luis Obispo County Courtroom.

Linda Ann Kennedy was originally arrested on July 16 in Tennessee following a four year investigation by the California Department of Corporations and an additional investigation by the San Luis Obispo District Attorney's office. Last month Kennedy pled no contest to charges of embezzling money and fraudulent loan practices.

A restitution status hearing is set for June 4, 2013 to determine the amount of money that will be given to the victims.
