Former Cal Poly star Garrett Olson is back in the Major Leagues. The New York Mets recalled the left-handed pitcher from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday and send down right reliever Elvin Ramirez.
Olson joined the Mets for Tuesday's game against Miami. He has pitched in the majors with Baltimore, Seattle and Pittsburgh. He was 4-7 with a 4.56 ERA at Buffalo.
Olson last pitched in the majors with the Pirates early last season.
Currently, former Mustang pitchers Kevin Correia (Pirates), Bud Norris (Astros) and Casey Fien (Twins) are also in the big leagues.
