The former Saint Joseph High School student convicted on four counts of unlawful sex with a minor is sentenced in court Thursday in Santa Maria.
Shane Villalpando will serve one year in a county jail, and five years probation. He is required to register as a sex offender for the duration of his probation. Villalpando must also pay restitution to the victims.
The restitution hearing is set on August 29th. Before he was sentenced, one of the victims and her parents talked about the impact of the crime.
