Atascadero State Hospital remained on lockdown Tuesday, exactly four weeks to the day that a series of incidents forced patients to be confined to their units.
Spokesperson Craig Dacus declined to go into detail about what sparked the lockdown, only saying a series of incidents on March 20 involved both patients and employees.
As of Tuesday, ASH was on modified lockdown, which means patients, with staff approval, can leave their units and go to specific destinations without an escort, Dacus said. Patients can also receive visitors on modified lockdown.
