Tonight could be the coldest of the winter season so far for the Central and Southcoast. Clear skies and light offshore winds combined with a very dry airmass will allow temperatures to drop quickly and stay below freezing for several hours putting agricultural interests at risk.
A freeze warning has been posted and is in effect from 3am to 9am, though freezing conditions could develop earlier.
Overnight lows near the coast will be in the upper 20s and low 30s and interior valley lows will be in the low 20s and in a few cases the upper teens.
Temperatures do warm during this week, and 70 degree highs are in the extended forecast.
You will find more about all of that in this forecast video clip.
