French Hospital Medical Center has acquired a new system that doctors say provides superior images of the heart.
French has become the first and only hospital on the Central Coast to obtain Siemen's new ACUSON SC2000 ultrasound system. Some call it "Echo in a Heartbeat."
Doctors say it will allow them to capture 20 full volume images of the heart in just one second. It is also said to deliver better clinical results, allowing patients to be diagnosed and treated more quickly. "The addition of this technology to the cardiac resources at French Hospital will enhance cardiologists' ability to make accurate diagnoses, and provide optimal care for their patients with heart disease," said Cardiologist Robert Doria, MD in a press release.
