Higher winds will help clear out the skies for a little while and make Friday the warmest day in the forecast for most. The weekend looks pretty nice, but definitely cooler than Friday.
A northerly push will generate some gusty winds below the Santa Ynez range this evening and should keep pushing the low clouds south and east.
Overnight expect some low clouds to return and push north and move as far north as Santa Barbara by mid morning Friday, but not get to most of the Central Coast.
A northeast flow early Friday will produce warming for the Central Coast and generally clear skies.
I expect a big change Saturday as a trough deepens along the coast. This will deepen the marine layer and strengthen the onshore flow, pushing low clouds up the coast and well into the valleys by Saturday morning. High temps will be down 5-10 degrees with the largest drops in the coastal valleys.
It'll be a few degrees warmer Sunday and nothing too exciting next week as rather typical June conditions are in my forecast.
