Friends of the late San Luis Obispo County supervisor, Paul Teixeira, continue to show support for his family.
A memorial barbecue fundraiser was held Saturday in Nipomo for the late fourth district supervisor.
The 57-year-old died from a heart attack last month, leaving behind a wife and four children.
Organizers pre-sold 1100 tickets at $10 each. Many people also came by just to donate money.
All of the money will all go to the Teixeira family in their time of need.
"If it had happened to one of us, he'd be leading the charge on that too. We know how well he was loved. We know how well he was respected. It's how we take care of things in South County, and we're really proud to be a part of it," said Tom Geaslen, co-organizer of the event.
If you missed the fundraiser, you can still help by donating to the Paul Teixeira Memorial Fund at any Rabobank branch on the Central Coast.
