Michael Frigon continued his torrid hitting to start the season to lead the Templeton baseball team to a 7-0 win over Pioneer Valley on Thursday. It marked the second-straight win over a Pac 7 League program for the Eagles to open the 2013 campaign.
Frigon went 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI in the victory. Austin Alarcon walked twice and singled and drove in one run.
Spencer Howard and Andy Garretson each threw three scoreless innings for Templeton. Chase Koehler tossed a scoreless seventh inning to close out the win for the 2-0 Eagles. Pioneer Valley dropped to 1-1.
Garretson also had two hits for Templeton, while Donald Syracuse hit a two-run single.
Templeton plays at Mission Prep next Tuesday at 3:30 pm before hosting Atascadero next Friday at 6 pm.
