Frost advisory remains in effect from 1 am to 9 am Wednesday for the Central Coast, Santa Ynez valley and Southcoast
Low temperatures will drop to near or just below freezing for 3 to 6 hours during the late night and early morning hours.
Sub-freezing temperatures can cause significant damage to unprotected plants and crops.
A freeze warning means that temperatures are expected to drop to 28 degrees or lower for at least two consecutive hours.
A frost advisory means that frost is likely. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
