A man arrested last month in Guatemala after being a fugitive for eighteen years, admitted Thursday he molested and sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl.

After entering a "no contest" plea in Santa Barbara Superior Court, the District Attorney's office said Jeffrey Parish also agreed to accept the maximum prison sentence of ten years and eight months.

Prosecutor Benjamin Ladinig called the plea and sentence , "The best possible scenario for us and the victim we could ask for."

The victim will have an opportunity to make an impact statement when Parish is sentenced October 16th.
