A Santa Maria charity has some new funds to help out man's best friend Thursday.
Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab in Oructt teamed up with the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society for "Ice Cream Cones for Doggie Bones."
15 percent of the sales will be used toward buying supplies for the shelter.
There was even an animal themed ice cream just for the occasion.
"Our main event will be next Saturday, the 17th, in the Pet Smart parking lot in Santa Maria and there's where we will try to do our big supplies drive," said Kathi Peoples.
For those wondering, the themed ice cream was called doggy dough and was vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and Oreo cookies.
