Atascadero residents are slowly beginning to have gas service returned to their houses and businesses.
SoCal Gas officials say about 50 to 60 customers have gas again, but approximately 700 are still without service.
They started the process of replacing meters at homes and businesses and reconnecting customers Tuesday.
SoCal Gas officials are still pulling water out of the gas lines.
So far, they've removed 6,000 gallons of water.
A water line break caused water to enter the gas line on Sunday.
The main areas affected are between Highway 41 and Traffic Way.
