Some tense moments in the Santa Ynez Valley Friday when a gas tanker caught fire on Highway 154 just north of Edison.
The driver told firefighters he heard a bang and pulled over. Just minutes later the cab burst into flames. The fire also spread to some nearby brush. At one point firefighters considered evacuating a nearby neighborhood but they were able to put out the flames before they spread to the tank.
No one was hurt. The cause is still under investigation.
