Surfers in Grover Beach on Thursday got to see a rather unexpected surfer on the waves. Dayna McGregor brought his goat, Goatee, to the beach to ride a few waves into shore.
He says they were out celebrating his birthday, but the real celebration was over Goatee's first water adventure. McGregor told KSBY News, "She did pretty well. She got up on a couple waves..got up? We put her on a couple waves, and she was pretty succesful."
McGregor originally bought Goatee to eat weeds in his backyard, but she soon became a pet. Now, McGregor says Goatee goes everywhere with him and is even going to be the mascot for his soccer camp.
