Goleta police warn residents about door-to-door scam

Police officers want to warn you about a possible scam in some South Coast neighborhoods.
The chair of UC Santa Barbara's Music Department says he's received reports of people posing as students and going door to door in Goleta and Santa Barbara.
They claim to be collecting donations for a trip for the UCSB Orchestra and Choir. However, it's really a fraud.
There is no trip planned or fundraising going on. If someone comes to your door, you're asked to call police.
