Golfers tee off to grant wishes for local children in need

Hundreds are teeing off today for the second annual "Golf for Wishes" tournament at Monarch Dunes in Nipomo.

The goal is to raise $25,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The money will be used to grant the wishes of five, local children with life-threatening medical conditions.

A 15-year-old Santa Maria girl with leukemia is the event's honorary co-chair.
