Goods of local magician couple known for legal troubles will be up for sale

The goods of some local magicians who became more famous for their legal problems than their craft will be up for auction today.

A public auction will be held at noon Tuesday in Arroyo Grande at Fortress-Secure Mini Storage to sell items in a storage unit Claude Yarbrough used to rent.

He's also known as Jonathan Pendragon, a pretty well-known magician.

The contents of their storage space--along with those of units belonging to others--on sale include: TVs, slot machines, fountains, beer and road signs, illusionist equipment and others.

The business says the sale comes after the magician stopped paying storage fees in May.

Yarbrough was sentenced to five years felony probation in April.

He was accused of firing a gun into the floor of his Arroyo Grande home during a fight with his wife.

The Yarbroughs aren't the only famous ones who have something up for sale, however.

The storage service says items once owned by actress Yvonne de Carlo, who played Lily Munster on the CBS TV series 'The Munsters', will also be up for sale.

Those goods include a sofa, bed frame and other household items.
