Grandmother accused after baby's death

COVINA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have arrested the grandmother of a baby boy who died after being found not breathing in a bathtub.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office says Julian Sosa was 8 months, 22 days old when he was pronounced dead Wednesday at a Long Beach hospital.

He was rushed to the hospital Monday after his grandmother reported finding him unconscious in a bathtub at an apartment in Covina.

The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports (http://bit.ly/P6XKUt ) 48-year-old Irma Godinez of Covina was arrested Thursday on suspicion of child endangerment causing great bodily injury or death

The boy's 2-year-old sister, who was also at the apartment at the time of the incident, was taken into the custody of the LA County Department of Children and Family Services.
