Opa! Celebrate Greek tradition this weekend in Arroyo Grande at "An Evening in Greece". On Saturday at Arroyo Grande's South County Regional Center you can walk into a room filled with the sound of Greek bouzouki music, the tantalizing smell of lamb on the barbecue and watch beautifully costumed children and adults dance authentic Greek village dances.
The authentic Greek Dinner Dance with Floor Show is from 5:00PM to 11:00PM. It is a fundraiser for St. Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church, and it's support of charitable groups in San Luis Obispo County such as the SLO Food Bank and the Prado Day Center.
San Francico Bay area band "Mythos" will return this year. Hit the dance floor yourself and the wildly popular floor show featuring authentic costumed Greek dance troupes. Dr. Paul Georghiou, Master of Ceremonies, will be leading dance lessons so everyone on the dance floor.
There will be appetizers, a bar, and an elegant lamb dinner served on china and white linen tablecloths. Homemade Greek pastries available for purchase. A silent auction and raffle prizes will round out the evening.
Tickets are $75 per adult. $40 for students and children. Reserved tables on the dance floor with two complimentary bottles of wine are available for $600.
