Greyhounds finish runner-up, Eagles third at Doser Tournament

The Greyhounds battled, but fell short to finish runner-up at Atascadero High's 37th annual Ruth Doser Tournament. The Atascadero girls basketball team lost 43-35 to Garces in the championship game.
Templeton earned third place with a 60-46 win over Palo Alto. Mari Stewart recorded another double-double for the Eagles with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Autumn Russell added 11 points and 7 boards for the 2-1 Eagles. Templeton bounced back nicely after its 37 point loss to Garces on Friday in the semifinals.
Paso Robles earned fifth place by taking the consolation game 33-25 over Nipomo. The Bearcats were led by senior star Molly Donovan, who scored 20 points and landed on the All-Tournament Team.
