The Grover Beach City Council is asking a county commission to wait before taking action to combat air pollution on the Nipomo Mesa.

A recent study shows, air pollution on the Nipomo Mesa exceeds state standards and it could have to do with nearby ATV's at the dunes.

On Monday night, the council decided to send a letter to the county's Air Pollution Control District, asking they take no action just yet.

The council says California State Parks should have a chance to respond with its own environmental impact report before the county makes any moves. The Pismo Beach City Council will discuss the same issue at its meeting on Tuesday.
