The City of Grover Beach has a new city council member.
The council picked Glenn Marshall, a civil engineer, to fill the spot.
Earlier this month, the council voted unanimously to appoint someone to the seat vacated by Phyllis Molnar.
Council members voted to open up the application process instead of holding a special election.
Molnar resigned after serving a little more than two years. She says she is no longer living in Grover Beach.
