The city of Guadalupe wants to extend the Santa Maria levee. City leaders have been working with Congresswoman Lois Capps on acquiring funding to extend the levee. They say the levee doesn't go down to where the Santa Maria river meets the city. Recent heavy rains are raising flood concerns. The Boys and Girls Club and a local apartment complex would be the first hit if the area were to flood. Watch KSBY News at 6 for more on this story.
