The only major Democratic primary candidate in the governor's race will speak this afternoon at UC Santa Barbara. Jerry Brown is California's Attorney General. He served as state governor from 1974-1982 and later as the mayor of Oakland.
The UCSB Campus Democrats, a student group, is sponsoring the free event, which is open to the public. It runs from noon to 1 p.m. on the UCen Lawn.
KSBY News will have a full report on the speech tonight at 5:00.
