LOS ANGELES (AP) - Detectives say two or three men wielding claw hammers, knives and possibly a stun gun went on a 20-minute crime spree that included three robberies and a carjacking in Hollywood.
Los Angeles Police Sgt. Enrique Mendoza tells City News Service the crimes took place in intervals of about five minutes late Monday.
Mendoza says the suspects got away off with victims' cash, wallets and cell phones. One victim had a saxophone stolen. Each robbery involved a single victim. Nobody was hurt.
The spree ended with a carjacking at the intersection of Waring Avenue and Cahuenga Boulevard. The vehicle was found abandoned not far from where it was taken.
