The Hancock football team fell behind 21-0 and never recovered in a 56-27 loss to Bakersfield. The Renegades are ranked fourth in Southern California while the Bulldogs are ranked seventh. Hancock drops to 5-4 on the season, 2-3 in the Northern Conference. Bakersfield improves to 7-2, 4-1.
Hancock sophomore running back Cameron Artis-Payne rushed for 148 yards on 25 carries. He scored all four of the Bulldogs touchdowns.
Bakersfield rushed for 436 yards as a team and gained 599 total yards.
Hancock finishes the season next week at 4-4 Canyons.
