Hancock loses championship game of its own tournament

The Allan Hancock basketball team wasn't able to win the championship of the tournament it was hosting, the Bulldogs lost in the finals, 84-79 to San Jose City College. Hancock drops to 11-6.

Cuesta won the Consolation Final of the Hancock Tournament in dominant fashion. The Cougars beat Santa Barbara City College, 89-56. Cuesta lost in the first round to San Jose City. The Cougars are now 13-7.

Cuesta plays at Reedley on Saturday before starting conference play at Moorpark on January 9. Hancock plays at Monterey on Wednesday and then the Bulldogs host El Camino on Saturday.
