Hancock star Artis-Payne to announce college decision on Thursday

Allan Hancock College football star Cameron Artis-Payne will announce his commitment to a Division I football program on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in the Hancock gymnasium.
Artis-Payne is the state leader in rushing yards per game (204) and touchdowns (23), and a five-time Southern California Football Association Northern Conference Player of the Week. The sophomore running back has rushed for 1,838 yards so far this season and has broken four school records for rushing yards and touchdowns scored.
Last season Artis-Payne ran for 1,364 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He was named All-California First Team Offense in Region IV by the California Community College Football Coaches Association.
Artis-Payne has remained tight-lipped about his preference during the recruiting period. He visited Auburn last weekend. Sources close to the program say he will choose Auburn.
