Cal Poly freshman Meghan Breadmore and Mission Prep graduate Jordan Hasay were honored for their success on and off the cross country path Thursday. The two were among the 104 student-athletes nationwide who earned NCAA Division I All-Academic Cross Country status.
Hasay finished second at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. She boasts a cumulative GPA over 4.0. This was the third time she earned All-Academic Cross Country status.
Breadmore is a kinesiology major. She and Leanne Fogg became the first Cal Poly women ever to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country championships. She finished 146th.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have either earned All-America status or finished in the NCAA region's top 15.
